# Which Brokers Offer 24/7 Trading?

**Liquid offers 24/7 trading on crypto perpetual futures and lists stock, index, commodity, FX, and pre-IPO perps in the same non-custodial account, many of them tradable outside their home market's hours.** There is no overnight session to opt into and no expiry to roll. Eligible markets offer multipliers of up to 50x. Non-crypto perp hours vary by market and venue, so check each market's live status.

## 24/7 vs. 24/5: why the difference matters

A **24/5 overnight session** lets you buy and sell actual shares between the evening close and the next morning, Sunday night through Friday. You own the stock, but only symbols on the broker's list trade, orders are usually limit-only, and Saturday is closed.

A **24/7 market** never closes. On Liquid, crypto perps are always open, and other perps can trade through nights and weekends when their market is available. A perp gives you long or short price exposure, not share ownership or voting rights, and it carries [funding payments](/learn/what-are-funding-rates) while open.

- **You want to own shares and react overnight on weekdays:** a broker with a 24/5 session, such as Schwab, Robinhood, or Webull.
- **You want to trade crypto, gold, FX, indices, and stocks in one place, including weekends, long or short:** Liquid.
- **You only trade crypto spot:** a crypto exchange.
- **You need exchange-listed futures:** a futures broker. Check the exact contract's session.

## What to check before trading overnight or on weekends

- **Is the symbol eligible?** Overnight share sessions cover a published list of stocks and ETFs, not every ticker.
- **Which order types work?** Overnight sessions are usually limit-only, and some brokers block shorting or margin overnight.
- **What is the price reference?** Overnight share trades print on alternative venues. Perps on closed markets trade on their own order book.
- **How liquid is it right now?** Check the spread and book depth before sizing.
- **What happens at the reopen?** Prices can gap when the primary market opens, and stops can fill past their trigger.
