Liquid is partnering with Ledger to bring direct access to Ledger Wallet™ on Liquid. You can now connect your Ledger device, add funds, and start trading through a direct connection that keeps your private keys secured on your hardware.

The integration brings together Liquid's non-custodial trading experience and Ledger's hardware security. Access markets around the clock, with no separate software wallet extension required.

## What is Liquid?

Liquid is a non-custodial trading platform that brings 500+ markets into one app. Trade perpetual futures across crypto, stocks, indices, commodities, FX, and pre-IPO companies, alongside prediction markets.

Perpetual futures let you trade an asset's price, long or short, without owning the underlying asset. There's no expiration date, and Liquid's markets trade 24/7, including nights and weekends.

Liquid connects you to decentralized trading venues through one interface, making it easier to find a market, open a position, and manage your trades.

## What is Ledger?

Founded in 2014, Ledger is the global leader in digital asset security, giving users true digital ownership, portfolio management, and total control over their assets. Its ecosystem combines iconic hardware signers—which keep your private keys protected offline—with Ledger Wallet™, an all-in-one companion app where you can securely buy, sell, swap, spend, and earn rewards with your crypto\*.

Ledger is secure by design and backed by Ledger Donjon, a world-renowned white-hat security team dedicated to defending the digital asset space against hacks and scams. Trusted across 165+ countries with over 8 million signers sold, Ledger secures nearly 30% of all Bitcoin and retail dollar stablecoins, bringing uncompromising security and peace of mind to millions of users.

## Self-custody, connected to your trading account

Self-custody means you control the private keys that authorize activity from your wallet. Protecting those keys is central to protecting your assets.

With Ledger Wallet direct access on Liquid, you can connect your Ledger device without importing its recovery phrase or moving its private keys into a browser extension.

The integration also brings Ledger's transaction-review tools into the connection:

- **Clear Signing** displays supported transaction details in readable language on your Ledger device, so you can review what you're approving.
- **Transaction Check** adds a security check before signing, helping flag potential threats or unexpected transaction behavior.

Your private keys stay protected on your device as you connect and approve transactions.

## How the integration works

The flow is straightforward: connect your Ledger device, add funds, and choose a market.

1. **Connect.** Open Liquid in a supported desktop browser and connect Ledger Wallet™. Follow the prompts to connect your Ledger device and authorize the connection.
2. **Add funds.** Follow Liquid's funding flow to transfer supported crypto from your connected wallet. Review the transaction details on your Ledger device before approving.
3. **Start trading.** Once your funds are available, choose a market, review your position size and order details, and place your trade.

At launch, direct access supports Chrome, Brave, and other supported Chromium-based desktop browsers, across Ethereum, Base, and other supported EVM-compatible chains. All Ledger devices are supported except the original Ledger Nano S™.

Keeping your private keys offline protects your wallet's signing credentials. Funds committed as trading collateral remain subject to the underlying venue's margin, liquidation, and withdrawal rules.
