To use Co-Invest to trade prediction markets, connect Co-Invest to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or Meta Muse, ask it to find and explain a market, review the event rules and implied probability, specify the outcome and size you want, and press Confirm on the trade card. Co-Invest helps with research and execution, but the order does not reach the market until you approve it.

Prediction markets are a natural fit for conversational research: the question, evidence, probabilities, and settlement rule all need to be understood together. Co-Invest gives you one place to ask those questions and, when you are ready, submit the trade through your Liquid account.

## What is Co-Invest?

Co-Invest is Liquid's AI trading connector for ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Meta Muse, and other supported clients. It can read market data and portfolio context, answer research questions, and prepare trades in ordinary language. Each order is shown for your review before it is sent.

You do not need a separate prediction-market account. Prediction markets and Liquid's other markets use the same Liquid account, while prediction-market shares themselves are unleveraged and settle on the event outcome.

## How do you connect Co-Invest?

The exact menu labels can vary by client, but the flow is:

<StepFlow

  steps={[
    { title: "Open a supported AI client", body: "Use ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or Meta Muse, then add Co-Invest to the client. The Co-Invest setup page has the current client-specific connection steps." },
    { title: "Sign in to Liquid", body: "Follow the browser sign-in and authorization flow to link your Liquid account. If you do not have an account yet, you can create one during setup." },
    { title: "Start in paper mode", body: "Say switch to paper mode before risking money. Paper mode uses simulated funds against live market data, so you can practice the full conversation and confirmation flow." },
    { title: "Ask about a prediction market", body: "Name the event or ask Co-Invest to show you prediction markets by category. Have it explain the current price, implied probability, resolution rule, and key evidence." },
    { title: "Review and confirm", body: "When you request a trade, Co-Invest returns a confirmation card with the market, outcome, share count, price, and estimated cost. Press Confirm only after the details match your plan." }

## What should you ask Co-Invest before trading a prediction market?

Good prompts are specific about the market and the decision you need to make. Try:

| Prompt | What it helps you check |
| --- | --- |
| “Show me today's soccer prediction markets.” | Match discovery |
| “Explain the teams, match rules, and resolution source for Sunday's NFL market.” | Contract wording and settlement |
| “The share backing the underdog is $0.42. What probability does that imply?” | Price-to-probability conversion |
| “Summarize the strongest evidence for each team in this soccer match, with sources.” | Balanced research |
| “Compare the market price with a 55% probability estimate.” | Potential edge before costs |
| “Build a paper-trading plan for 50 shares backing the Chiefs and explain the maximum loss.” | Position sizing and practice |
| “Buy 25 shares backing [team] in [match] at the available price.” | Preparing a trade for confirmation |
| “How is my prediction-market position doing?” | Open position and P&L context |

The assistant can organize information quickly, but it cannot turn an uncertain event into a certain one. Read the primary source and resolution criteria yourself when the decision matters.

## How does a Co-Invest prediction-market trade work?

The workflow has three separate decisions: research, position, and execution.

1. **Research:** Ask Co-Invest to identify the question, deadline, settlement source, current price, and recent changes.
2. **Position:** Decide which team, player, or event outcome you want to back, how many shares to buy, and the maximum amount you are willing to lose.
3. **Execution:** Request the trade, inspect the confirmation card, and press Confirm. Cancel if the outcome, price, size, or market is not what you intended.

This separation is useful because an assistant can help you move faster without removing your responsibility for the forecast or risk budget.

<Callout variant="key" title="Confirmation is the control point">
Co-Invest does not silently send a prediction-market order. The trade stays pending until you review the confirmation card and press Confirm. You can also use the Liquid app to monitor or close the position later.
</Callout>

## Can you use Co-Invest for prediction-market research without trading?

You can use Co-Invest only as a research assistant. Ask it to explain market mechanics, summarize sources, compare two teams or outcomes, translate prices into probabilities, or review a position you already hold. The assistant does not place a trade unless you explicitly request one and approve the confirmation step.

This is often the best way to start. First test whether the assistant understands the event question and resolution rule. Then use paper mode to rehearse the position before switching to live trading.

## What are the risks of using AI for prediction markets?

AI can misunderstand an ambiguous question, rely on incomplete or stale information, overweight a compelling narrative, or misread a source. Prediction markets add their own risks: the forecast can be wrong, the market can be thin, the resolution rule can surprise you, and a position can lose its full purchase amount.

Use Co-Invest to improve your process, not to outsource judgment. Ask for sources, ask what would disprove the thesis, check the settlement rule, keep the size small enough to afford a total loss, and never confuse a confident explanation with a guaranteed outcome.
